Exterior
- Mow grass
- Remove dead plants
- Weed flower beds and planting areas
- Touch up paint on the house
- Clean up any extras that might be laying around the yard
- Sweep sidewalks and the driveway
- Wash windows on the interior and exterior
Kitchen
- Clear off counter space to show how large the kitchen is
- Clean tile/counter tops
- Clean appliances
- Put away magnets/pictures off fridge
- Keep cleaning supplies put away
- Organize pantry if applicable
- Take out trash before showings
Bathrooms
- Keep counter tops clean and with limited items on them
- Clean/replace shower curtain
- Keep extra products put away
- Put clean towels on display and put away dirty ones
- Clean any tile/grout
- Take out trash before showings
Living Room
- Keep coffee tables clear
- Put away kids toys
- Arrange furniture in a way that makes the room appear large
- Take out any unnecessary furniture
- Put away personal photos
Bedrooms
- Make the bed every day
- Clear off nightstands and dressers
- Keep items off of the floor
- Organize closets
In addition to room specific tasks, all rooms need to be deep cleaned and dusted frequently. If there are any areas where pain is chipping or been damaged, it’s best to touch up the paint. Additionally, if there is anything that has been damaged or is not working; it would be best to repair those items so you can show the home off at it’s best.
