April is here, the weather is (mostly) beautiful, minus the tons of rain we’ve gotten the last few days. All that rain will hopefully bring the May flowers so we can enjoy some of the awesome festivals and outdoor events happening the next couple of weeks in Denton!
Twilight Tunes
Every Thursday night beginning on Thursday, April 21st, the Denton Main Street Association will host an outdoor concert outside the Denton Courthouse on the Square. On April 28th, local country singer Kody West will be performing! Twilight Tunes is a totally free event, and starts every week at 6:30. Be sure to stop by to hear the awesome music and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Denton Redbud Festival
The Denton Redbud Festival is an Arbor Day Celebration for the city of Denton! There will be plenty of vendors that will have information on different plants and trees as well as have them for sale. Additionally there will be various arts and crafts for sale, plenty of delicious foods, and bounce houses for the kids. The Denton Redbud Festival will be held April 23rd, 2016 from 10:00-4:00 at the Denton Civic Center Park and is totally free to enter. The proceeds from the event will benefit Keep Denton Beautiful.

Denton Arts and Jazz Festival
The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival is one of my favorite events that happens in Denton! This 3 day event will be April 29, 30, and May 1st at Quakertown Park. This festival is a hit with everyone, filled with 7 stages of various genres of music, fantastic food, and various arts and crafts for sale. For the kids, there will be a fantastic arts area to keep them busy all day long. This is not to be missed with so much to do, see, and listen to all weekend long.
