Coffee shops are a great place to hang out, enjoy company with family and friends, or to sit and get some work done. Plus enjoy one of my all time favorite drinks- a mocha. I personally love sitting at some of these local coffee shops to enjoy the people of Denton and hang out. I know it can be tough if you’ve just moved to the area to find the hidden gems that are perfect to grab an excellent cup of coffee, and to have an awesome place to hang out. If this is you, I’ve got you covered. Here are 3 of my favorite coffee shops in Denton, TX:
West Oak Coffee Bar
This is my family’s personal favorite! It’s super tough for us to stop by the Denton Square without making a quick coffee run through West Oak Coffee Bar. Situated between McBride’s Pawn Shop and McNeil’s Appliances, it’s a great spot to spend the afternoon people watching or getting work done. The building that West Oak is situated in, has been restored to its former glory with lots of exposed brick, craftsman benches and bar, and is filled with local artwork. They carry their own line of coffee beans, if you are a coffee connoisseur as well. Also noteworthy is their avocado muffins. For more information about West Oak, check out their website.
Zera Coffee Company
Zera Coffee Company is one of the coolest coffee shops I know of because of their mission. Zera Coffee is a non-profit shop, established by the Denton Freedom House as a ministry. The shop is entirely run by volunteers in order to help Denton Freedom House. Their coffee is fantastic and so are their snacks. As far as a place to hang out, they have a ton of room and a large covered patio that is perfect this time of year. Jupiter House Coffee
Jupiter House Coffee is one of the original Denton coffee shops. I can hardly remember a time without it’s cute spot on the Denton Square. This quirkly shop has a ton of room, and is a great place to meet up with friends. It’s located right in the heart of the Denton Square between Hooligans and Downtown Mini Mall.
