Getting a home sold quickly is my goal when I get a new client who wants me to represent them selling their home. No one wants to have their home sit on the market for a long time waiting for a buyer. Even in this booming real estate sales period in North Texas, I have proven strategies on how I advertise homes for sale to potential buyers.
Drive by Sign
When I was looking for my own home, I spent hours driving around for the perfect place. Despite how advanced our society is with technology, a good sign in the front yard really helps get attention on the home. People drive by and give me a call about properties that they just saw! This is the very first thing I do when putting a home up for sale.
Word of Mouth with Other Realtors
I’ve been working in real estate for over 10 years in the Aubrey area, and I have a great group of agents I’ve been lucky enough to work with. Because of that, I contact them as soon as I get a new listing to find out if they’ve got any clients looking for the type of home I’m about to list. This helps make sure an agent doesn’t miss it when it comes through on the MLS website once it’s listed.
Blog Posts and Social Media
Sometimes it’s great to read about a home in a different way than the traditional MLS breakdown. I use the blogs as another way to describe the home, and get a different group of people to look at the listing. Social media is a wonderful thing that I believe really helps get more people to view listings that may otherwise not view it, or have not found a realtor they are comfortable with and are still scoping out different options. Whatever the circumstances may be, social media has helped connect others to view listings that I share on my facebook page.
Newsletters
I have two different types of newsletters that I send out. I have a newsletter that includes many realtors in the DFW area, that I may have not had the pleasure of working with yet. I send the listing and home information to all of them when I have a listing. My other newsletter is a subscriber list that I will sometimes include a home for sale that I am representing as well as other blog posts or information. If you would like to receive the subscriber newsletter click here!
I love representing a home that is up for sale. There is so much that goes into making sure the home selling process is accomplished smoothly, and sometimes marketing can be forgotten. But I choose to make sure that I advertise homes by some if not all of these marketing strategies.
