What’s going on in Denton County? 11.16.2015

What's going on in Denton County?Happy early Thanksgiving everyone! The holiday season is coming up fast, and that means there is plenty going on in Denton County right now. If you are looking for something to do the next couple of weeks check out my favorite events:

ICE! and Lone Star Christmas

1501 Gaylord Trail
Grapevine, Texas

ICE! ticket prices vary from $12.99-$30.00 for children or adults

Monday-Thursday 11:00am-8:00pm
Friday-Saturday 10:00am-10:00pm
Sunday 10:00am-8:00pm

Running from November 12th through January 3rd, 2016

This may be one of my favorite events to go to with my family! ICE! at the Gaylord Texan is a unique annual event featuring 2 million pounds of colorful ice sculptures, all themed this year to “Christmas Around the World”. I’ve been several times, and this never disappoints. The event provides a parka for you to walk through the 9 degree building. There’s fantastic hot chocolate for after, and snow tubing for the little ones if you opt to do that.

If walking through the chilly building isn’t your thing, the decorations in the resort are something to not be missed. They decorate the atrium of the hotel from top to bottom– featuring 2 million lights, a real gingerbread house, and life size nutcrackers. For more information about this event check out their website here.
